How to clean a RRM Intake?
So my intake is starting to look pretty dusty and was wondering how i should go around clean the intake. Any pointers would be great guys. Thanks.

i just got the k & n recharger kit and used that.

Might wanna double check somewhere but I'm pretty sure that the rrm filter is a dry filter. Therefore, don't use the filter oil that comes in the recharge kit.

I don't know about the newer ones, but my RRM take has a K&N Filter with it, so I would assume the K&N recharger kit would be best

Well I'm on fence on whether to buying a replacement intake from RRM. I think i have an idea on what you're talking. The intake RRM has on their website has a metallic cover at the end of it, but my intake i purchased from them had a rubber silicon end. I'm not sure if thats what you mean by the K and N filter and the newer ones they sell now? Is that what you mean?

I'm pretty sure that you should not oil a dry filter. Do not use the K&N recharge kit unless you know you don't have a dry filter. Call RRM and let us know if you find out anything.

If you have one of the RRM air filters you can clean it with air, then soap and water, then let it dry.
It is a dry filter, meaning no oil, meaning no recharge kit from K&N.

sorry... ive never really cleaned an sri before. so, do you just wipe it down with soap and water? how long do you think it should go before a cleaning?

Concerning cleaning questions for the RRM Dry Air Filter...
Use compressed air from the inside out. Then run water from inside out, slowly. Then let it soak in warm soapy water. Then slowly rinse from inside out until water comes out clean. Then let it dry overnight or out in sun for a few hours. Don't be stingy on the drying process. Don't oil it because that will go right through and mess up things like your MAF sensor. This is a dry filter and you may just want to replace it with a new one from RRM.
I'd clean it every 6 months to a year or 40,000. That depends on where you live too. Dusty places will dirty up air filters faster.
