If you are looking for white, the 5000k is pretty close with a hint of blue. The 4300k is whiter maybe a hint of yellow. I have the 5000k on mine for low/hi/fog and they look amazing. I got them from mobilehid.com.
As for the flickering, i tried playing around with all the fuses and caps and stuff, but in the end i decided to tap into the parking light wire. Now when I turn on my parking lights the lows come on and i still have the low beam harness in case i decide to use it for any drl light in the future. This is probably the simplest and cheapest solution if your pretty good at doing things yourself. The only down side is that you dont have just the parking light feature if u care for that.

Got mine from http://www.wholesalehid.com/ at decent price. Not sure if there's a 5000K but there is a 6000K which I think is super white. Mine is 8000K which is blue tint. Take a look at this site.

I have 4500K and its white. I highly recommend it. Got mine from DDM tuning for a very good price. There's no yellow tint like one of the posts suggested. Actually the light looks completely white but there's a very very slight blue tint if you look at the headlight housing. Don't be one of those annoying pricks with blue lights (The lack of projectors makes them even more annoying to other drivers). Just don't do it.

6000K has a somewhat noticeable blue tint.

I believe I provide what you're looking for. My DRL Bypass w/ Relay Harness will simply eliminate the DRL's. Therefore, no flickering is present when running HID's. The DRL Bypass w/ Relay Harness is completely Plug & Play and requires no splicing whatsoever with the OEM wiring, thus saving you from any warranty issues and/or headaches. With the bypass properly installed, all lights will assume normal function:
Position 0 - All lights OFF, DRL's OFF
Position 1 - Parking lights ON, DRL's OFF
Position 2 - Low beams ON, Parking lights ON

I don't quite understand what you're looking to do. The Daytime Running Lights can not be used with an HID kit installed.

jRox: I think bmlad wants to keep his daytime running lights while having HID lights. I had the same question as him, but he asked first. XD
I was curious though, if a person buys the OEM HID lights or headlights from places such as, CiNcity and lightwerkz, and installs those headlights, would they be able to continue to have DRLs or would they have to be shut off as well?

yeah i want my HIDs on but i also want to keep my daytime running lights on too just cuz i love that feature... I know that out our cars the daytime lights are like low power low beam and doing that with HIDs will like mess it cuz it runs on low power or what not. but like there a way to have the HIDs on (even on full power) when the car is on just like daytimes would
so the HIDs would stay on all the time instead of like having to turn in on and off everytime like you do when u do the whole by pass thing
(((also has anyone one put LED city lights (side markers) if so what bulb there are so many types i know it says 167/19... something but its just so many options so i m a little confused)))

I personally had my lights retrofitted by LightWerkz. I have been using my DRL Bypass w/ Relay Harness since March 12, 2009--works flawlessly. I've also sold my product to another customer of LightWerkz. I can not speak for CiNcity or the OEM HID Projector Headlights, as I am unfamiliar with the setup.

From what your saying, you want your lights to function like so:
Position 0 - LOW Beams ON
Position 1 - Parking lights ON, LOW Beams ON
Position 2 - Parking lights ON, LOW Beams ON
If that's the case, then you'll need to purchase an anti-flicker kit. It's basically a harness that runs your lights at FULL power 24/7, without having to actually turn them on yourself.
You can find the sizes to all the bulbs in your manual.

actually if the HIDs would run on low power like regular lights... that would be ideal but i dont think that possible
and well so the lights would turn off when i turn the car off right? and would the lights still be off when handbrake in pulled nd the car is on? cuz i really need that what do most ppl use ( like how do they run HIDs) anyways when they have daytimes
Thanks btw

remember in most cases with HIDs they run on less power than Halogen Bulbs. Unfortunately, HID flicker because the voltage dips below the operating threshold for the HID kit /Ballast.
A Canbus Fix / Anti Flicker should be used to even things out and provide for uninterrupted power. Its critical.
To simplify the net effect of having a Relay and Canbus Fix. Regardless of what position the highlight switch is in, On, DRL, off. The HID should ignite, and should remain on at all times. Continuous operation is not really that harmful to the bulb, but constant on and off cycles or Flickering is the enemy.
If your HID bulb blows, you might as well thru out the kit, cause its game over if the bulb color dont match up. Well, exception of the rule would be that the bulb blows out so early, that the bulbs havent even shifted in color. But then again if that happens, it might give you a hint of what might happen again in the near future.
