Lancer Front Side Markers

Browsed around for a bit now, and have yet to find anything.
I changed out my front side marker bulbs from the stock amber to a redish/pink.
The stock bulb is tiny in comparison to the regular 2827 bulb.

Now my question is will the head from the light damage the headlamp, get stuck, etc. if I keep it in there, or will it be safe. At the moment their still in I can post pics of how it looks if anyone is interested.

They fit and close/seal without any problems, It's a tight fit is why I am concerned.
