car alarm recommendation for 09 lancer

I use to have a viper 690xvr for my 04 lancer ES. I loved the auto lock feature (since I would always forget to lock my car) and the over 1 mile range of the two way remote. I could lock and unlock my car from a distance that I couldn't even hear the alarm chirp anymore.

Does anyone know if our cars are very problematic due to the chip in the key and imobilizer?

I believe an aftermarket alarm is possible. I think it would just replace the functions on your keys.

If you do go for one, look at getting one with a tilt sensor. Stops your car from being towed or stolen on a flatbed.

haha those are mainly meant for people trying to steal your wheels. a tilt sensor just makes the alarm go off when its tilted past like 10 degrees or so. if you have a flatbed and want to take it, you can, the alarm will just keep going off. its not like it makes the car attach to the ground lol
