Take the front bumper off and bolt them to something. This is how I've always installed HID ballasts.

i used industrial strength mounting tape, one is on the battery on the right side, and the other is on my window washer fluid container i believe. I have slim digital balasts by the way

While I know that tape is strong, I would advise against it. Eventually it will work it's way loose, you'll hit a bump and the ballast will smack off something around it, then lose your light. All electrical components should be secured using screws, bolts, nuts, etc.
Just letting you know... I've seen many ballasts fail because the tape did.

yeah i heard about that.. i had it done in a shop and i asked about it, but they said that it depends on what kind you are using. its been 2 years and theyre still fine. The consistancy of the mouting tape is almost like the glue that they use to badge our cars (if youve ever debadged our car you know what i mean)
but you are right shud be very careful u could break your ballast from a hard knock

thanx for your answers guys. i also have slim ballasts and i would like to take the bumper off and install them somewhere hidden but also comes the problem of having to do this every time something has to be fixed or changed with the lights.
while looking at the engine bay i thought about making a few custom pieces out of sheet metal to mount the harness on. if any one else has a different setup please post im open to other ideas

I mounted three of them underneath where the battery sits. Theres some holes there and i used some hardware and zipties to hold them in place. Then I have two ziptied to the frame on the otherside of the engine bay with the third one infront of the radiator. I found a hole there and mounted it to that with some zipties around it to keep it from moving. Looking in, you would never know that they where there. I also have all three relays in a project box under the battery mount to keep excess moisture from getting to them.

anywhere is fine. As long as the kit is shielded you wont run into electrical problems. I was bold enough to mount on my ECU. lol

+1111111, how the hell is the engine bay that bad anyway? My 93 doesn't even look that bad, and I dont think I've cleaned it since 2003.
