Oil: 5w20 synthetic or conventional. most go with synthetic and some have said that once you go synthetic you cant go back to conventional which is total BS.

Oil Brand: its really up to you I usually use valvoline or castrol

Oil Filter: dont remember the numbers on it but you can look it up in the oil/air filter book in the store or have someone look it up on the computer.

Process: first you start by placing an oil bucket or whatever you are going to use to drain the oil into. Unscrew the oil plug from the oil pan( the oil pan is located on the passenger side just about directly under the floorboard you cant miss it the plug is facing the rear of the car) once you remove the plug clean the plug with a paper towel or rag whichever you choose. let the oil drain until it stops.

Next: remove the oil filter which is almost directly infront of the oil pan a little closer to the front of the engine. once removed let the oil drain from there. once it is finish clean off all the oil from the seal and threads.

Next: replace the oil plug back into the oil pan securing tightly. now onto the filter place a thin layer of new oil onto the rubber seal of the filter and screw back on( caution: do not over tighten the filter cause as the seal heats up it becomes a greater seal and over tightning will cause it to be hard as hell to get off the next time)

Next: fill with whatever brand of oil you choose as long as it is 5w20. takes 4.2 quarts.

Finally: after you have the oil filled crank the car and let it run for a few min and turn off. let the oil settle for a few and check the oil level (just to ensure that you have filled it properly)

Thats the process.

Just a tip you can warm the car up a little and the oil will drain faster.

I recomend pouring about half a quart directly into your filter. Remember people the Oil amounts with and without filter are very important. it says like 4.2 quarts w/o filter and 4.5 w/ filter if im not mistaken.

If you care to do so, I always use engine flush when I do my oil changes. Most people will say you dont need it, but it wont hurt, and itll keep your engine cleaner.

Check out the AMSoil website. It will give you the types of oil needed for your vehicle and the capacities.
