painting headliner

i have seen advertisements for some fabric and vinyl paint. i was thinking that since i am going to have the interior out of my car, that i would try and turn everything to a black color, that would mean painting the a-pillars, the pillars of the rear window (c-pillar?) b-pillar, as well as the headliner. the plastic pieces are easy to paint, just primer and paint, but i have always been reliuctant to paint fabric, has anyone used it with success or any info on how i could do that. thanks...

I too have wondered about this, Some people had told me that it was just better to just redo the headliner all together, rather than paint it.

I remember reading about someones stealthed out Evo. Interior and exterior. But I can not seem to find that right now.

yeah, well i have gutted my interior, i had new front and rear evo seats, and a new carpet, and as i took everything out, i decided to take everything else out, and i'm going to paint all the gray pieces, black, and i think i am just going to paint the headliner, cuz having it redone will cost way more money than i want to spend on it.,

I have every intention on redoing my interior as well, I believe I'm going to do that within the next upcoming weeks. Redoing your headliner should be easy to do, just get the fabric that you want and spray glue and cutting should be an easy thing to do

i had not thought of reupholstering it, but now that you mention it, the degree of difficulty doesn't seem that hard, its not too intricate. i might try that, but where could you get a good fabric for the interior from?

i decided to just pay an uphosltery shop to do it, he said it would about $140. which is cool with me. i got all the gray interior pieces painted black, and the evo interior in, i will do a full build write up when i get my headliner back.
