Riddle me this?
Okay I am getting my car painted. While they are painting it I am going to get my door handles and plastics painted. Can the shop just go ahead and paint it with car paint, than clear coat over it. Thats what I want I dont want them to use the stuff they are supposed to use the dye or whatever. SO answer this question.
Second question which header out of all of them is better. I am going with the RRM testpipe, and a magnaflow catback exhaust. Which will fit best.
Oh I also need to know where I can get that carbon fiber front lip with the metal thingies, and this carbon fiber piece that goes around the notch in my back bumper where the exhaust tip will come out.
More importantly I want to know about the paint.
Answer my questions please thanks.

The best header as of now is RPW race header. It comes with a downpipe.

The shop should know about the paint issue, at least if they're worth a damn. As for the header, it comes down to preference, the RPW and Kamikaze comes with a downpipe, but the gains from the downpipe are relatively small. The RPW also costs a small fortune so thats an issue that needs to be addressed as well. As for a carbon fiber splitter and bumper guard, I'm not sure if anyone makes ones specifically for our car yet, you might have to have that custom made.

For plastic pieces, make sure they add flex to the primer, paint, and clear coat. It will flake off if it bends.
I have the RRM header and like it. Its ready for a turbo kit, and the restrictive stock downpipe doesn't get replaced so you don't totally lose all you're low end torque. Its pretty too, until you get it very hot, then it loses the mirror finish. It makes a huge difference in power, and like I said before, ready for the turbo for in the future if you just happen to go that way.
CF bumper guard for exhaust? I've been looking everywhere. Nobody has them yet. If someone just happens to find one, I'm up to buy one as well.

Paint: I have no clue
Header: As said many, many, many, many, many(i think you get my point???), many times
RPW: The only one dyno proven.
RRM: Looks nice(Said to be ready for turbo, but they don't tell you it's only for RRM'S turbo)
Kamikaze: Cheap and effective
So you make your choice.
Carbon fiber front lip: Picture of the splitter, picture of the splitter mounted on a Tiburon, link to buy(look for the Black Tiburon when browsing the page)

You probably could stick it on there but more than likely it would look like sh*t. The aluminum ones are also an option but don't look good at all.

seriously I need help here.
Okay guys I need help more on the bezel painting. He just wants to do a Marhyde thing. I am going to tell him to prep the pieces as if they were going to be on the outside of the car, throw the paint down with flex additive, then cover them with clear coat, should this work or not? Oh and who has the inside of their car done anyway. How did your paint guy do it?

i have no idea what Marhyde is, but I would assume using the same paint and clear coat on the inside would be just fine. Although marhyde might be better protectionwise from hand traffic.
