vacuum gauge help

hey guys i got my gauges hooked up today thanx to marcus(link62) and im having problems getting the vacuum hose thru the firewall, where do i get thru and then once thats done where do i hook it up cause the im not sure which hose would be best to check my vacuum, any help is appreciated!

Drives: 2006 Evo Mr/ 04 Srt-4/02 Is300

there should be rubber inlets for where the harness goes into the car. Just poke a hole threw that and there are plenty of vaccum lines in the engine bay . You can use the brake booster hose which is right above where the line needs to go threw the firewall .

i tried putting it thru the one whole that has a rubber inlet on the passenger side and i see noting coming out from the inside, and which hose do you mean cause my friends 03 es has a hose coming right from the intake manifold but mine doesnt have that

ok use a hanger and poke it threw on the drivers side and im talking about the brake booster which u can google a pic of . its located on the drivers side right above where u need to poke threw the firewall. U can tap into it and you wont have to use that much hose.

if you do hook up your vacuum gauge to the booster line, make sure you put it before the check valve, you won't get accurate readings if it is on the booster side of that valve. Best place to tap into for the gauge would be the line leading to the FPR.

he has an 05 so he doesnt have an fpr or the vaccum nipple on the side of the IM thats why he wondering what to tap in to

i actually got it hooked up, noel from westek gave me some advice on where it was nice to tee into it, its running perfect all i need is to get my piggyback installed and im still waiting on rrm for the throttle body
