evo & lancer aftermarket seat brackets same?

i've already pmed a few people but no one really knows for sure if it's possible so i thought i'd try again and post a thread. mods please delete the other post on the recaros, thank you!

so has anyone used evo seat brackets on their lancers? i have an 03 lancer and i've been told (and i've also heard) the evo brackets are the same but i need to be sure before i purchase a set!

thanks! any help would be great and much appreciated i'm from canada so trying to find an evo owner would be near impossible to compare.

The mounting points are the same but the brackets are different. The Lancer has the entire seat assembly as one unit. The Evo has the rails, brackets, etc. separated out.

thanks amby! so i was just wondering what people are doing to put in new seats? are there any brackets available for the 03 lancer?

i just went through your FAQ (ambystom01) and i see that you touched on the subject. are the evo seats the only recaro seats we can put into our car without customizing a new seat bracket?

i saw another thread where someone bought a megan seat and brackets from wedge engineering. will the brackets from wedge fit with my recaros?

No, I'm sure you could buy Recaro brackets for other seats.

hey, sorry i must sound rxtarded but i'm really new to the seat mod.

i've looked through recaro and sparco websites looking for their seat brackets and they don't have anything for the lancer. i'm not 100% sure what your first post meant... could i buy evo brackets for the lancer?
