DYNO SPECS

I'm interested in comparing the WRX STi Dyno to a EVO VII.
In Import Tuner, they dynoed a WRX (227bhp) to about ~149-150 whp.
Now I might be a little off on the numbers, but what does an EVO VII do on a dyno at the wheels?????? I want to know how much loss we are looking at between the 2 competitors.

That's about right, 149-150 whp for a 227hp WRX...since the energy loss is approximately 35% for AWD cars. I remeber the stock 2.5RS (165hp) dyno result was 96whp.

In addition, Shiv Patakak (spelling?), the guy who prepares the project 2.5RS in SCC claims the Rhy Millen's EVO VI TM stock dyno result was 190-ish whp....that's approximately 280hp that Mitsu claimed it produced...

However, I've never seen dyno results for the new EVO VII and the New Age STi ...

The plots for both are based on 16 psi. I know this can't be stock. Isn't stock 8 psi from both manufacturers?

It is not 8psi for JDM Stis and EVOs STi run 17psi Evos anywhere from 14.7 to 17psi

Even the US WRX hit 13.5 psi

You got it. 1 bar, or 1 atmosphere of pressure (the way we live and breath every day) is 14.7 psi. The engine must run a bit more than that for it to be boosted (since you're forcing in more air than would normally go in there).

1 bar gauge is the actual term. It means 1 bar over ambient pressure. So in absolute terms it runs about 2 Bar.
