ROAD/RACE- 04-05 Development Car

We just acquired an 04-05 Mitsubishi ES from MMNA. Great news for lancer guys because it will allow us to aggressively develop product specific to the Lancer 04-05/4G94 model. We are looking for imput from you guys. We already finished our own COLD AIR INTAKE for the Lancer and plan on doing other pereformance goodies to complement our lineup of products.

Not an engine mod, but most definantly a wanted product would be projector headlights!

question about the new CAI, is it any different from the Aem, Injen, etc. CAI's already made for the Lancers? because most 04-05 ES guys have put some of these mods on their lancers.

I'd be more interested in a turbo kit compatible for our cars, considering our fuel system is returnless, and I'm too much of a newb to go custom.

dunno though, I'm looking for an RA now, not really satisfied with the ES anymore. but this could be interesting, might actually make me consider keeping my ES, since I can't find an RA in my area right now.

well the RRm axle-back is a little off (hangs low and sticks out a little too far). SO i definatley wanna see one made especially for 04+, maybe even a catback if you guys wanna .

A cai definately would be nice. I have an AEM cai on mine now, but had to cut intake pipe lengths and angle it weirdly to make it fit. Exhaust system that actually fits without modding things to make it fit. Axleback would be nice, as well as catback, but with the 2.5inch catback(too big IMO) I honestly believe we lose too much back pressure and therefore lose low end torque. I know I have the Buschur catback. Something closer in size to the Greddy for the 02-03 Lancer, which is between 2 and 2.5 inches. A downpipe that actually fits, again without modding and adding like 5 extra gaskets to make it fit, etc., etc.
Let us know if your bored throttle body already fits with no problems. I personally think you guys trying to make a turbo system that works with our returnless fuel system is a waste because how many 04-05 guys do you think would actually buy it, or even have the money for it? Most of us only have the money for na mods.
Also how about bored out fuel rails that work for the returnless fuel system? Also does your header fit without any fitament issues?

i dont think that comment is really fair, i mean the only reason 04+ arent being turboed is cuz there are NO turbo systems available for us yet (least i havent seen 1). I know a guy did a custom setup and had a thread a while back and thats about it. I myself am interested in F/I and have been looking into TC and SC. rrm is a Lancer shop, and im hoping that means all lancers from 02 and on get their fair share of great products

Whatever, all I know is that if I were RRM, I wouldn't waste my time, effort, money, etc., making a turbo kit for the 04-05 crowd of people unless I got like at least 10 or so confirmed, downpayment and all, notices because all the time, money, effort, and resources they would put into a turbo kit for only one or two peeps would not be worth it. They would end up losing money, or the kit would be so expensive that no one could afford to buy one.
Think about it, how many of us here are actually 04-05 guys? Not many that's for sure, at least compaired to the 02-03 crowd.

you know slovak it probably wouldnt be too difficult for rrm to produce this kit as it is the same engine(for the most part) so most of the kit can probably be taken from the 02-03 with a few minor changes (piping, intercooler bolting up, fuel system, etc)... but it shouldnt be a large deviation except the fuel system... so it shouldnt be too bad, just some good ol R&D to do.

RRM will make the turbo kit... CUZ RRM IS DEDICATED TO THE LANCER COMMUNITY... doesn't matter if they sell 10 or 100 over the next 2 years. As of now... RRM has sold 150+ kits and still those kits are being sold and used by other people.
