We went to the track completely stock and managed to do 15.80, this were the results using stock rims, tires and full weight:
60': 2.33
1/8: 10.14 @ 69mph
1/4: 15.80 @ 86.5
This were the stock numbers on a Mustang Dyno:
After that we decided to install an HKS axle back exhaust and didnt touch the rest of the exhaust, the car has all stock resonators and cats:
This exhaust sound really good and is very very quiet at idle, sometimes I think the car stalled, LOL
After that we installed our own Predator Performance Pulley:
The only other mod the car has is a dropin HKS filter and the intake scoop from a RallyArt Turbo:
Then, we performed a basic Predator Performance reflash in our dyno and these were the results:
Not bad considering the basic mods the car has. The next day we went to the track and this were the results:
60': 2.2
1/8: 9.80 @ 72mph
1/4: 15.19 @ 91.11
60': 2.23
1/8: 9.75 @ 72mph
1/4: 15.16 @ 90.5
Those are just 2 of the 5 passes we did, all of them between 15.1 to 15.3 and always 90 to 91mph. We think those are good gains for such minimal mods and a very quiet car.
We have tests, comparisons and dynoruns specifically for each mod, I will post some more later... Thanks....
We spent a little more time on the dyno today trying to get more horses, we saw some gains playing with the Mivec, the car now has 165whp and the torque curve looks a lot better. This is in a Mustang Dyno that reads around 8-10% lower than a Dynojet. The car still has no intake or exhaust, just axle back.
We will continue with the tuning, but we are now seeing that the cat is becoming a restriction when its cold, apparently when it gets hotter if becomes a lot more efficient. You can clearly see it in the curve and AFR when you do 2 pulls in a row.
Next time we are going to the track with better numbers and without the 18" rims, we expect some mid 14's in the near future on 93oct.
