Pics: RPW twin throttlebody setup

just thought id share what i found, looks nice, just kinda pissed u cant retain mas for affordability. having to go standalone on this car as my daily driver is not something i want to do.

because it it running on each end of the manifold the maf is eliminated. the maf must be on all intake of air so as to communicate air flow to the engine control unit. if not u must eliminate the mas and use standalone of some sort. ie megasquirt, haltech, aem ems

i cant belive you guys havent seen that before. rpw also makes a quad throttle body. i dont know anything about it really, but i've seen it before.

looks good. Yeah RPW makes quad... there was a 93 quad system for sale on ebay a while back real cheap.

For those not in the know, you don't go from MAF to standalone.

Standalone is the way the engine is managed. It essentially replaces the ECU and controls the car on it's own.

For metering air, you'd be removing the MAF and inserting a MAP sensor. Manifold Absolute Pressure - it's a basic sensor that measure the air pressure coming into the motor differently than the MAF does.

that setup just makes the engine compartment a bit more crowded.

Intresting setup, but I wonder if the the piping for the throttle bodies could be ran so they were not sucking so much hot air.
