Most beneficial parts
Besides the obvious answer of turbocharger, on the Lancer ES (2002) what are the most beneficial parts for performance. I am looking at these things for my car in the future but just wondering what is worth the money and what isn't. I would prefer answeres based off experience although just logic is fine (as I know very little about cars).
Current Mod:
Ram air intake
Possible Future mods:
Front/Rear Anti-Sway bars. Looking at these from RRM .
Coilovers. I don't want to drop the ride that much, mainly just looking for a more sporty ride.
Headers. I found some of these for like $250 on ebay, didn't know how much gain I could find in Headers.
Hi flow cat. I have heard this helps alot? Found this for like $60 on ebay and not too expensive other places.
Cat back exhaust. I don't want anything loud by any means, just looking for the performance side of things.
What is worth it? Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't by headers off ebay. I think most would though. I just got my whole exhaust redone. I like the RPW headers a LOT. They are quite a bit more expensive than most, however. I know I won't ever have the $$ for turbo. RPW specializes in N/A lancer racing. All in all, I just had about $1100 in exhaust parts installed. (headers 575, jet hot coating 296, HFC 70 or so, resonater and muffler 154) You can definitely have all those for less money though - it just means a little loss of low end power. The RPW headers don't have that loss in the low end - I think i actually got a teeny gain from theirs.
A much wiser person here once told me that mods pretty much follow this line - intake mods tend to help throttle response typish and low end perf. while exhaust type mods generally help the top end. And Rock would tell you that turbos will fix EVERYTHING, If you're loaded or well taken care of! . No offense I'm just jealous and tired of being a working class poorboy like most americans. Did I mention I'd like to live in a socialist country? TOTALLY KIDDING.
P.S. I think the es is maybe economy sedan?

I know, I am just kidding about the ES thing lol. Anyway, I have no need to buy the headers and catback from ebay.
I figured that going Intake, Headers, Catback or at least a high flow cat, and front and rear anti-sway bars would be worth it. I will definately do the anti-sway bars first though as I hate cornering the car leans so much.

If you are staying N/A (non-turbo), just look no further than RRM. www.roadracemotorsports.com. They really know what they are doing when it comes to the lancer. You'll find almost 99% good feedback about them on these boards. I went all the way up to ordering a turbo kit from them.
For your situation if you want some pretty good results, I would look into a nominal upgrade path. It sounds like you don't want to spend a ton of money. Just keep it simple. Try the pulley first. It is cheap and people say its awesome. I'm currently waiting to get mine installed along with some other stuff. Then, look into getting a header, test pipe, and catback. That should get the car breathing nicely. If you want to take it a step further, order their piggyback ECU. It now comes with tunable software via a computer input so you can take the car to get it professionally tuned. That might yield some good results.
For the suspension, you can take a peek at the Eibach springs. I have them and love em. (***err, edit.. Eibach's won't fit the ES, Road///Race carries Progress Springs for the ES, they're similar) Also, sway bars and strut tower braces will stiffen up the ride a bit and give you great handling. You can even get the rear tire to lift up a smidge if you know how to corner and have some sticky tires.
Personally, I'd stay away from ebay. Stick with the vendors listed here on the boards that are sworn by. RRM is just one, and its pretty much a one-stop-shop. Call them with any questions, and they will give awesome help. They have awesome service too if something arrives broke or missing. They'll get right on it and send you the proper stuff. But first, read the sticky threads here on the forum and do SEARCHES. =) That will help inform you a little better.

In terms of most beneficial parts, I would probably go with headers, and a tuning device of some sort, such as the piggyback ECU offered by RRM. Intake won't get you much, same with exhaust and test pipe. TB and IM gain a little, but it's mainly in throttle response. For an ES a rear sway bar makes a big difference, and I'm sure coilovers make a nice change to the dynamics of the car.
