I had to restart the car 3 times when I used that hose.

sounds good! i'll try it next time i run this

I would think there's a way to make a "T" with a drip or managed feed like "titration" someone might have learned in Chemistry class. That's what the oil change places do when they do their "fuel system cleaner" routine... just a thought...

Since you're in Canada CarQuest is pretty much the only place.

i wouldnt suggest doing this alone.. it is very easy to hydrolock the motor with this product if not used correctly.. i always have someone in the car while ill pour it in. pour it in slow while someone is keeping it running, then when your about 1/2way done w/ the amount that goes in the manifold, dump the rest in and let it stall.. let it sit for a few hours and start it up.

i know kid lancer hasnt had any problems w/ doing it w/ the motor off, but ive seen a Hyundia Accent hydrolock from this stuff before, and we'll just say the guy wasnt too happy. just use caution when using it and if no one else is around to help, wait for someone

I just finished doing this. 1/3 to gas, 1/3 to crankcase, and 1/3 to IM. There wasn't really that much smoke. I did it all with my car shut off. First it wasn't to happy and it didn't want to start. But after I gave it some gas it was all good. Now, I'm just going to wait until it will dissolve all the crap and in two days it's oil change time. I got a short video too that I will post later on.

I had my MX6 hydro locked today from pouring it in with the engine off. It eventually turned over and started but it was clanking and freezing up at first. It runs fine and it ticked before anyways, I would be pissed if I did that to the Lancer. So run the car while you are putting it in.

-idle is more stable
-a little better throttle response
-exhaust gas smells better

Oh gotcha. I just do it because my car makes me mad and it smoking makes it feel like i'm fighting back, then it runs better. Kind of a win-win situation. How many miles did you drive with the stuff in your oil?
