I used Sea Foam on my last car (94 Explorer). The stuff is awesome, and really does help out. It would be a good idea to warn your neighbors before using it, too. You don't want them calling the fire department.

Well if you didn't get any type of gray dark smoke like everyone else? you have a darn pretty clean engine. Well the internals atleast. How many miles you got on your car?
I'm going to purchase this stuff today and do it in a parking lot somewhere, just in case my car does smoke. I'm about to hit 60k and i just got a tune-up. so this would be an excellent idea...

Don't use duralube, or any of those "miracle" lubricants. They've been lab tested to be mostly mineral oil (baby oil!) and there have been class action suits filed against the companies for basically sellign snake oil (no pun intended).

Chemtool is good stuff. But I don't know that I'd use it in my Lancer; it did help my old 85 Chevy, though, so it may do something similar. If you try it, you can use it in your gas and your oil; right before a change and it'll help make your oil super runny and is supposed to help with biuldup.

Drives: in the slow lane

Anybody know if there would be any contraindication for using this on an evo?
I was browsing the fuel treatments in a local auto parts store, and one of them said that you shouldn't use it on turbocharged engines. However, neither Duralube nor B-12 states anything to that effect...

#1 HUGE throttle response... gas pedal is so light again.... like when u 1st drove it off the lot n thought the lancer was fast lol

#2 SMOOTHER ride.... (linked to #1). those are theee most important "feel" effects.

u might smell a gasoline type smell for 1 or 2 days... nothing more then that

the long term effects im still awaiting.. (gas mileage, oil change / sludge)
