hrm. "vacuum line," unfortunately, is so far above my skill level. I was happy with myself when I got the SRI installed in an hour. I can change oil, and that's it. I won't ask what's a vacuum line, because sounds reeeely dumb, but where's a vacuum line? I have a feeling I'd probably shove that stuff down the wrong hose@!

Well... I just picked up a can of SeaFoam and will be putting it in this evening. Is there any specific vaccum line you guys suggest I should use?

Let us know how that stuff works, I have an 2003 Lancer with 42000 miles on it. Sounds like I could use this stuff. Although I too for some reason don't know where else to put besides in the gas tank. Keep us posted.

The grey curled up one? Is that your intake off to the right? Do you undo the connection and just poor in?

Can somebody that has a bottle of this stuff please list the ingredients?
I'm stationed in Germany right now and the only stuff that they carry on the base is called B-12 Chemtool. The instructions are similar to Seafoam...

Here's what B-12 Chemtool lists as the ingredients:
Toluene, Methanol, Acetone, Mexed Xylenes, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, 2-Butoxyethanol, and Isopropanol

I ran half the can yesterday. 1/4 in the intake manifold and 1/4 in my oil. The main reason why I used Seafoam was for the oil treatment. As I posted in another thread I've had my Low Oil Pressure light ON for a while even though I changed my oil a few times in a short time frame. With suggestions from other board member I conclued the oil pick up screen(in the oil pan) was clogged and didn't feel like taking it appart.

Well, after running 1/4 of the can in the oil, I think I may have solved my problem. I think Seafoam actually took care of the sludge that keeping my engine from being well lubricated because my Oil Light didn't come ON this morning on my way to work.

Other than that, all I can say is WOW. The car runs great. It feels like it's breathing better than ever. I have yet to do the fuel line threatment(1/4 can in the Gas tank).

To put the Seafoam in the intake manifold I used the Green vaccum line on top of the Throttle Body. At first I got my girlfriend to keep the car at 2000rpm so the Seafoam could get sucked in, but I did the last portion of the 1/4 can using "idle vaccum". The car didn't smoke as much as other people have stated all over the place, but I did notice an unusual amount of smoke coming out of the tail pipe.

In the picture there are 2 hoses one with green one with yellow. One of these sucks at the TB more then the other, use that one. thay way you are getting the seafoam in from the TB and cleaning out any dirt or crap that you may have sucked up through your intake overtime.

Blaze, you put it in untill the car almost stalls out (or does stall out), then you turn the car off and let it sit for about 8 hours. Then you drive it. trust me it will smoke, but it will clean everything out too.
