rrm piggyback question

Ok i recently bought a piggyback and installed it.

Everything went well and when I started the car for the first time i did not have any sort of rough idle or anything like many people are saying should happen. It did however rev high like it normally does when you reset the ecu

Is this a problem?

Well if your having any problem just re-check all of your leads to the ecu. Make sure they are all connected properly. Then disconnect your battery for at least 15mins. There should be a rough idle at the begining then make sure you do not over rev (keep low) for a couple of miles so that the ecu can figure things out. All done then.

As for your high rev, it could be that it's not connected right (like a normal start up of your lancer) because during your couple mile drive the ecu may act funny, low idle at stops (kinda like stalling low idle). Just double check it all.

Well when the battery is disconnected for a while, it will rev high, and stay there for a bit. That's normal. It seems like everything is going fine with it to me.

Sounds fine. How is the car running? It is gonna get faaster the second day you drive it too so look for that.

thanks for the replys.

the cars running great as for my question i guess i shoulda worded it better.

i knew the high rev was normal and it only did it once after the reset.

but i never got any sort of rough idle or dipping rpms at stops it ran as if i didnt do anything at all.

all my connections are good and strong and im pretty sure ive got it hooked to the right wires.

i was just wondering if the piggyback was working right cause i never got the rough idle or anything and it didnt seem like it had to learn like everyine is saying.

rock could really use your help here not sure if ive got the wiring right i boought it used and didnt get any instructions
