and that was another thing i was thinking as well. or that or a fpr going bad. i know that both of them are using the stock maf.

Ok that's what I was going to do next. I tried that when I had the fmu since it seemed to adjust how much fuel was being injected, but I was told that it was a bad way to tune it.

That should solve your problem. Otherwise it's time for a MAF upgrade.

Stay away from the FMU. Imagine going up hill, partial throttle while boosting, high load.
The FMU notices the boost and dumps so much fuel.
My AFRs were around 9.0 just going up hill

I ditched that and went with an aeromotive fpr

Okay so I pretty much copied the MAF Scalings from the thread, lean under boost. Everything seems good so far but at higher rpms the car falls on it's face, or when I shift. I know I don't have a boost leak and I just cleaned my MAF so it shouldn't be that. Some more help please.

Is it holding the AFR steady?

What spark plugs are you using?

I'm using NGK Iridium IX.

It does hold AFR pretty good but jumps from lean to rich then stoich on first start up. Then when reaching boost it gets rich then leans out immediately. Working my way up to boost at lower RPMs it is pretty rich too.

Ok I just bought some CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner and it says on the back, "DO NOT use on vehicles witha Karman-Vortex air flow sensor, e.g. Toyota Supra Turbos, Mitsubishi's and most Lexus vehicles." Are you sure it's safe to use it then?

As far as the tune, I still need to work it out a bit but I have the afr's hit 11.5 under boost and slowly drop to 10.8, after I adjusted the maf scaling and the fuel map a bit. Still working on it though.

i dont see why not. i just took my entire maf out and spayed it in. its not like yr gonna spray it in with the maf still attached to the intake hose.

Hey josh, I got a decent map running now but it still seems to stumble when first reaching boost..

Luckily we don't have the karman vortex!
