Gauges from OBDII Port?

First yes i know there is a device called the Greddy infometer that connects to the OBDII port and is very cool.

Now for my question; is it possible to run gauges from the OBDII with a wiring diagram? I would assume not easily as you would need to interpret the signal correctly for the guages, so a second question: Is there some kind of unit that connects to the OBDII connection that can then host gauges (A/F ratio, water temp, etc...)?

I love the look of A-Pillar Guages but dont want to drill through my firewall to run cables.

If its not possible i will most likely end up getting the Greddy Infometer.

just go through the firewall....will probably be cheaper that way, too. drilling a hole is not that bad.....

lanceher, it is most likely that the gauges you're talking about hook up to your car's canbus computer system. there's a can hi and can low on your car, rather than can sw. pm me with info on the gauges and i can take a look at it.
