5w-20 is whats recommended, i used 5-30 recently because it was onsale and all that was available. i use k&n oil filters, mobile 1 fully synthetic. mobile 1 oil filters are pretty good also.

once you go synthetic, you cant go back to conventional. Or its recommended that you stay synthetic.

^wut he said. but IMO go fully synthetic and dont worry. just look at the specials at autozones and pep boys and go with w/e filter is with the special usually bosch or k&n. but as said above once you go fully synthetic do not go back to conventional. synthetic from my experience cools better and lasts longer than conventional which is good if you are a little past due on an oil change.

false,

you need to get facts before spreading false info in the forums, it is totally incorect that statement.

i understand that one can be miss informed easilly with so much info out there, but please be carefull

i have many many customers that were using dyno oil for over 50,000 miles and they decided to go and give synthetic a try,, what will hapen is the syntetic willl strart cleaning all that gunk that was build up for all those years with dyno oil.

i reccomend in this case to check your oil level weekly and change the filter in between to help clean ,, or do a flush before changing to synthetic.

For new and\or low mileage car, is there an advantage using Sythetic if you regularly change the oil every 3k?
