Read.
There is a million thread in here that will get you started. Read the forced induction section, NA section, have a look at the Evo forums. Also read Honda-Tech.com. H-T guys have alot of info and knowledge to offer. Knowledge is power. Knowledge will keep you from blowing your motor. If you ain't sure... ask before you do anything.

That'll get you started.
To answer your next 5 "newbie" questions.

Get a short ram intake. Don't bother with the cold air intake.
Which one to get? Save yourself 300$. Just buy a K&N cone filter, an adapter plate and hook that up to your maf.

Don't go bigger than 2.5" exhaust. Unless you're boosting.
Which company to get it from? Your local muffler shop.

How many hp after exhaust and intake?
euh... you'll get a decent sound and maybe 3% increase in power
