Question 60k mile tune-up

Hi,

I searched for a while, couldn't find anything solid about this, but how hard is it to perform a 60k mile tune-up on a 2003 mitsubishi lancer es? I am between a novice-intermediate with my skill level/knowledge of the vehicle. Also, what would the price comparison be between doing it myself, and bringing it to a mechanic?

I know just an average cost of replacing the timing belt is around $750 (parts/labor) at a mechanic, and that's only one repair!

Thanks in advance!

Drives: 2003 Lancer OZ Rally [ Lightning Yellow ]

i wont hit 60k untill july.. but base 60k service is $500 from a mitsu dealer.. dont think that includes parts.. i will have to get my oil changed too along with a new vc gasket... all that i get done at same time..

i hope all my belts, pump etc are ok when its checked so i dont have to spend money when i dont have to

750 for a t-belt is WAY to high for the lancer. Its only about 3 or so hours labor. I wouldent pay over 400 if u got it done by someone else.

60k is easy, the hardest would be the T belt, but theyre fairly straight forward and easy to do on these motors
