09 Lancer exhaust

from my research the Works exhale axle back exhaust for the 08+ Lancer is just a pipe, no actual muffler. so i dont see myself paying $300 for a pipe and tip.. so has anyone just put a pipe and tip and it sounded good?? or like a flowmaster. whats the sound diff? my problem is i cant find a exhaust that will fit rite. and i dont like the fake apexi axle back.

Ok hope this helps any of you. If you a straight pipe with a tail in a muffler shop it will cheaper believe me I did it :P. But at first it will be loud as $%^ soo be easy on the throttle soo you can give time to the ecu to set up to the new muffler or maybe if you disconnect the battery and reset the ecu (I forgot to do that part) but the final result will be a lancer that at idle it will have a deep tone and when you pass the 3000's rpm will growl. If you want you may also paint the pipe with flat black paint the one that is used on engines that is rated to hold at 750° F.
