I finally got to drag my car!

So for my first time ever drag racing a car (1/4 mile), I got the following results:

First race: 17.5 against a 2007 chevy cobalt, really slow start, see video
Second race: 16.7 against an acura RSX, ok start, lost
Third race: 17.2 against an acura integra, spun tires through first, won
Fourth race: 16.6 against a supra (they dont match us up at the lanes!), good start, lost

I have RRM V1 SRI, and custom catback Flowmaster exhaust.

here are 3 time sheets, I couldn't get my first one:

You could run a full second faster if you would get a better '60 foot. Good luck though, first times are tough

Holy 60' batman. Practice practice practice and you'll bring those numbers down. I think someone once told me every tenth of a second you knock off your 60' equates to two tenths off your E/T, provided the rest of your run goes well.

Props for posting up your times too man. Sounds like you had fun and that should be most of what matters.

You would gain a little time off without a passenger (more wieght) I got a 16.1 with a Tsudo and rrm V1 intake. But it does take pratice, the 16.1 was my first time, 5th race but it kept improving, I don't know it I could break into 15's. Good luck next time.

Not bad. +1 on the passenger, every bit of reduced weight helps, you could even toss out your spare tire and tools before the run.
It's definitely possible to break 15's in the new Lancers with the 5spd and a few mods. Not so much with the cvt - maybe if it's turbo'd .

haha thanks for the advice, criticism, etc. if I had ran just a week earlier than i did, i would of had a 200 pound system in the trunk as well to slow me down haha. but I know about the weight thing, and i would take everythign out if i didn't have to just put it alllll back in what a pain. my mom would get pissed if i took it all out and left it out!
