So I think my Starter is done!

Well, I've been having issues with my starter. When my car starts it'll "vroom" (lol) about 3 times or so, before finally starting. Once it starts, the car will rev up to 3-3.5 and then idle back at 1.

Sometimes it just doesn't want to start, and I'll sit there, trying like for 15 minutes for it to start! It's annoying.

I believe it's the starter, not too sure.

Sometimes the "Check Engine Service" (or whatever it says) comes on, sometimes it doesn't. It's just fustrating.

I seen Starters online for about $100, is it worth buying and having someone do it, or bringing it to a shop. What's the cost?

Could it possibly be something else?

I've had this issue for about a week, how long do I Have before I'm done (I don't have a day off yet to fix it!)

when the cel comes on get it checked. it can be the ecu. i know if you reset the ecu it revs at 3-4k than idles normally.

Yeah it does idle high then go back down, but that doesn't explain why my car isn't always starting, and revs a few times before starting. Hense, my starter opinion
