Viper alarm problem

Has your car got juice? Do the lights turn on and all that or is it the actual alram system not allowing you to crank?

i am currently out of state right now.. if my battery was dead, would that affect the alarm? apparently the keyless fob was not communicating with the alarm system....

If the vehicle battery is not dead, turn the ignition on and push the valet switch once. That should disarm the alarm if it is armed and not responding from the remote. This will reconnect the starter kill relay and allow you to start.

If the vehicle battery is dead, charge it and refer to above.

If all else fails, unplug the main brain to the unit and try starting.

re:

It shouldn't be if installed and wired correctly.

Were you able to disarm the system and start the car yet?

If installed properly these units are pretty reliable... if there is anything else aftermarket that you have in the vehicle it is more likely that something else caused the battery to drain. How long has the car been sitting without being started... because every electronic accessory has some sort of drain on it's constant power wire... in most cases it is a very low amperage draw that you never notice it... until you leave your car for a few days or weeks and then it won't start.
