Question 4 chan amp different impedance speakers?

Just like the question asks, is it okay to have 2 4 ohm impedance speakers on the two front channels, and 2 2 ohm speakers on the two rear channels. The is amp 2 ohm stable, for those wondering...

Also will a 75 w rms amp x 4 burn up the little component speaker attached to the front woofer. The manual says 35w should be passing through the crossover board, but I'm so confused the woofer is rated at a 100w rms HELP!

this is a question i have often wondered myself, too. I would think, that as long as the amp and speakers are compatible at w/e ohm load you wire that channel, it will be fine, but dont take my word for it, just a thought! Also, i thought you were using all 4 polk speakers, and both sets could either be at 2 or 4 ohms? what amp are you finally using?

no they are infinty speakers and one set is 4ohms the other is 2ohms, infinty has a guarntee though that they are all true 4ohms... so I do not know anyways I am going to just hook it up and try it out from there... see how it sounds... I have decided to power the front deck from the 2chan amp that I HAVE now, and the rear deck from the headunit, there will be a power difference yes, but its just for rear fill anyways.... So there is no dead space in the cabin. No ever sets back there anyways... I do believe that it should blend nicely, but we'll see... I might be forced to send them back.
