Oil Analysis: Shell Rotella T6
Below is my oil analysis with Shell Rotella T6 on e85.
The 2000 miles on the oil were all short city trips and lots of street tuning.
Not bad compared to my previous sample in 2009 with Amsoil's Racing 10w-30 on 91 octane and half the boost

so.. how do you feel about those readings? all looks decent to me even though it was an early oil change..
Was that pulled/sucked from the dip stick or did u get that from the drain? lookin good, but these arent always accurate if the oil isnt pulled as a sample correctly.

I found out about Shell Rotella T6 through BITOG (bob is the oil guy).
I wanted to find a new synthetic oil that can withstand e85,
but cheap so 3000-5000 mile intervals wouldn't hurt my pocket.
Everyone that posted used oil analysis of it had great consistent results.
I originally wanted to try Brad Penn, but their test results seemed to vary.
I love that it contains a high amount of zinc and phosphorus.
Diesel oils have high levels of additives compared to regular oils.
If you noticed, many oils today have lowered these amounts because of the EPA (i.e Mobil 1).
From the oil analysis everything looks good. The copper might be from the turbo bearing as I went over its limit a couple times,
I didn't realize I had a huge boost leak and I was wondering why I was boosting so high, yet no power
The sample was taken the same way as the previous sample.
From the drain plug, half way through the draining process, not the last bit of oil.
I think I found my new oil. At $21 a gallon it held up fine and I didn't spend as much if I were to buy the "racing" oils
