02 lancer oz 4g63 Build
Hello all. This is my build thread in which I am putting an Evo 4-8 4g63 engine trans-t-case into my Lancer OZ. The car will still be FWD only as of now. Though this might change as the build goes, I am not in any hurry on this build as I don’t think it will be finished (Driving) for at least a year and a half. If you have any thought questions please feel free to ask. But please if you’re going to post this can’t be done or its way to expensive don’t bother anything can be done and I already know the cost and being that I have started the project I truly don’t care. So far I have gathered a few of the parts and have the driving sitting in place (test fit only) I still need to get the mounts all figured out.
When the motor first arrived from its long trip from Japan minus its plastic wrap. they shipped it full of fluids lol
*Special Thanks to Josh Green for allowing me to use his spare garage and Alex Cuneo, Chris Buckingham, Zach Williams, Andy Folke, Cody Willig for all the help*

looks like you have some intake mods going on, are you going to put a LSD on so that the power can be kept under control with the 4g63??
are you gonna keep it 4 lug or are you going 5 lug and if so are you going with discs in the back as well??
I'm really excited for this. Please take a lot of pictures. Good luck bro.

Is this a spare lancer in your case noticed it was white? Any reason for megan cat/catback? Why not go custom with a highflow cat if your keeping the cat? Hope this doesnt take you a year and a half im not that patient :-)

Yah found the intake for a very low price couldn’t pass it up. It will defiantly have lsd I have not looked into what brand yet. As for 4 or 5 lug it’s both as of now. I have evo k member (same as lancer), Evo knuckles, spindles, struts, I have evo lca's but they move the tire forward about and 1'' so I am keeping the stock lancer lca's till I build some moly ones. So the front Is 5 lug with 4 lug rear. It still has rear drum brakes. I don’t want to put a lot of money into the rear end cause depending on traction it might end up AWD. The reason for Megan Cat back and high flow cat. Is strictly sound. It has a deep very non ricer sound that I like.

Still working on the project but also cleaning and moving into a house with the GF. So progress is going but very slow. Here are some pics of what I have got and got done.
used but still way better then my old stocker
This took way more time then I would have thought to drill, tap, get all the shavings and sand out, and paint it.

well made some more headway but i busted up my DD 240sx turns out that they dont turn in the air :/ who knew. But i got the T-case block of plate build and some painting done under the hood. fixing all the rust <ewww. cut the front bumper to allow more airflow to the intercooler, started fabing up a frotn lip for a little more downforce, Polished the headlights.

I got a little more headway My engine mount is being sent to a fab shop so they can see it and duplicate it and make improvements on it's strength. And as for pics I know i need them someone decided they needed my charger for my cam more then I do and just have not bought a new one yet.

Hello,
If your engine and subsequently engine harness is from a right hand drive car then this maybe helpful:

Well I’m going to have to get some pics. I’m using stock evo/lancer they are the same for the left mount. I’m using evo right mount. That is the mount bracket I had made. The one I made was a template so to speak only 1/8'' place its now 1/4'' plate. I will post pics of it later. As for the harness I used the stock lancer harness and cut spliced soldered heat shrink the wires. All I can say is I hope it works it should. But thank you for the link I like all the help I can get. The front and the rear mount however are still up in the air I will let you know when the motor is bolted down and in. I got the whole engine bay in primer now. So all I got to do is wash it off and paint it white again. I hate rust. >.<

^ What I have been working on there was so much surface rust at every freaking seam That is rust inhibitor. I still got to paint it back white. But atleast the primer is on.
The new motor mount RH (passengers side)
The mount as it sits in the engine bay.
