Intake toss up

I have an 08 GTS and Im currently running the RRM short ram air intake. Im not to fond of the sound. Its really hoarse sounding and not throaty. I was thinking of going with a cold air but. I live in upstate new york and see alot of snow slush and rain. Anyone live in the same type of climate and have had good luck with a throaty sounding intake. This RRM no offense sounds to tingy, Like Metal on metal. Hard to explain. Any comment would be appreciated.

As said above, go for a K&N drop in.

I wasn't aware of anything other than the volume of sound changing with the type of intake you use. Basically the more open it is the more you will hear, is how I assumed it worked. For my IX I always liked my Buschur.

try to get some info on the intake that goes back with a air tube then makes a V shape back up over the battery and get a K&N filter cone to fix noise.

but remember the aftermarket companies love to make stuff for the evo and look at the lower models as not worth the time.

^agreed. I suppose tingy, metal on metal could be some cheap POS that is literally buzzing (vibrating with poor fitment).

a lil duct tape on the tube will help with the fitting of the cone on the tube.
