supercharged?

few short questions, i've searched thru here and am still hazy on the subject, lol.
1.) How's the ripp supercharger stage 1 on an 02 lancer?
2.) Over time how does the engine hold up?
3.) Is there anything outside of the kit that anybody had to add or fab.?
4.) Is turbo that much better?

...I'm about a month or so short of forced induction but its a DD so i just want reliable and fun. I have ran into some chronic medical issues (from someone hittin my lancer a few years ago ) so i only get to drive her maybe 3 hours out of a month (if i'm lucky) and i drive hard. my wifey commutes like 2 hours everyday and does all the kiddo stuff but she drives like grandma lol (shes' gonna kill me) alot of info out there...any suggestions on a direction?

thx everybody who has helped

Stick with a turbo set up. It is better documented and more reliable.

Plus RIPP stopped making the supercharger because of technical problems.

From what I remember, it involved the black box they use. They couldn't consistently get good gains and there were belt-slipping issues as well.

this

the black box was pretty unreliable and the gains weren't very impressive with the amount of boost. I think someone was running 12psi and only getting 180hp on stock internals.

The lancer has a small low power engine, a supercharger isn't gonna work very well with it. Just save up your cash and get a turbo.
