get the 09 gts in manual transmission. or if u want to go turbo you could get the 08 de in manual or 09 for cheap by cheap i mean u can find an 08 de used with 10-25k miles 5spd for about 10-11k total. that leaves plenty of $ to buy the gts body kit, a hood, wheels, turbo kit etc etc.

id recommend going with an 08 de and then going turbo if your going to go turbo anyway might as well start off with the 08, plus they look better imo.

yeah im trying to decide if i wanna get a new lancer debating on trading my 05 in for a es or gts.

ive read alot of things saying that the new 4b11 or 4b12 can handle alot more power than the 4g94.

i know it still requirs alot of upgrades and stuff but if it has more potential then its def somehting im intrested in.

honestly if your looking for power..dont get another lancer..the best advice i can give you..im by no means a honda fanboy cause i have 2 mitsus and had a DSM before that..but if you want power and the ability to mod and see real gains..get something in the same price range like a Civic Si you can get an 06 for about 16 if you looked hard enough..if you want a sexy fast looking car to daily then get an 08 lancer.

i see what your saying but from the way your talking you dont want a lancer..the potential of the car stops at a certain point..its an ecobox not meant to be a fast car at all..and i doubt we'll ever see a lancer push more than 300whp without a swap or something alone those lines. i know the 08+ lancers are a good looking car..but its not a tuners dream car at all..so really take my advice..look into a Cobalt SS T/C, MS3/Civic Si,Genesis coupe.. performance wise you will be 100x more happy than if you got a GTS.

If you really want lancer, you should get a Genesis coupe, new Cobalt, or any car really that you can find for around $17,000 and trade me that car for my Lancer GTS fully loaded lol.
