Smile SRI and CAI?!

yea is there a significant difference in a short ram intake and a cold air intake? all I know is that a SRI is cheaper, hah but other than that I really dont know what the difference is.

Significant? Probably not. 1-2 whomping hp. However, a SRI can decrease performance due to heat.

Cold Air Intakes I think are great. They give you that top end power over the short ram.

But one thing about CAI you have to watch out for is, it can suck up water sometimes. Most have guards for it but.... I have the RRM V2 SRI and love it. They supply you with what i think is a heat shield so...

Drives: 40+ MPG Lancer!

please search the threads on here about sri vs. cai. there's probably 1,000 of them

briefly, cai performs a tad better. but... the cai has a risk of hydrolock. The sri does not carry this risk (it all but the most bizarre instances), but it will hurt performance if the engine gets heatsoaked while sitting in traffic. I take my car into all types of weather conditions, and occasionally off road. Thats why the sri is for me
