Canadian ECU and turbo??

Hey this maybe a foolish question but i was wondering if anybody knew what the problems were with the Canadian ecu
I'm asking cause i'm looking at screwing warenty going turbo within the next year i'v been reading evosoul's blog and he
says there is difference's between the can an us ecu but doesn't mention or hint at what they are. I know he first ran into
the problem during the CAI shootout but don't remember reading what the problems were just that it didn't work out.
So does the mean it's just a tuning issue and the splitsecond piggy won't work? I don't know much about tuning can any
tuning shops or only certin ones play with the ecu in our cars to map out the a/f ratio's, and timing to get the most power,
almost like a works flash??

Oh and with that being said if the splitsecond piggy doesn't work does that also mean RRM's regular piggy and new timing modual wont work for us up here in canada?

Hope all that made sense i'm new to all this and have been scouring the forums for info hey gotta start somewhere
