RRM Turbo installed/completed

I have finished my install and everything is running great.

HOLY TURBO BATMAN!!!! The process has begun......

Header was removed and area primed for the new turbo header.

Front has been removed and the Front mount intercooler is bolted in.

More pics coming tomorrow. Should have the header and turbo mounted

Header/Wastgate

HOLY TURBO BATMAN!!!!

Downpipe - Notice how it bolts up to the stock piping PERFECTLY!!!!

This is the blowoff valve. I replaced the one that comes with the kit. Not that anything was wrong with it, I just wanted "louder". I want people to know that I'm turboed. So I installed a Turbo XS RFL one. Its one of the loudest blowoff valves on the market. RFL satnds for "Really F--kin Loud".

Here is a pic of the piggyback ecu being wired in. You can also see the filter and intercooler piping that comes up and runs in front of the battery. And yes, all wires will be mesh loomed, taped, and hidden.

I know the car isn't clean and I promise to get some clean ones up this weekend.

Also, after 2 days of driving my average mpg is 27.4. Not bad for a turboed car and 93 octane.

Pic of the FMIC and CF grill. Yet to be installed is the CF bumper cap and CF splitter. I wanted to get the turbo installed before I worried about them.

Everything bolted in. I left off the plastic radiator cover. I will reistall it later and eventually replace it with a carbon fiber one.

In this pic you can notice that I switched to a thinner battery. This allowed even more room for the piping.

In this pic you can see where I placed the piggyback. If you look where the ECU is, you can see it.

Thats it for now. I still have some very minor wire cleanup (looming) to take car of, but for the most part its done!

I finally got all the carbon fiber goodies installed!!! I have to adjust the brackets but thats a minor fix.

I really really really really REALLY wish I was you. I've been saving up for years now just to get an intake and exhaust, the idea of getting a turbo has become so distant from me now. I bet it is A LOT of fun to drive. You should take some videos so we can hear that bov. How long did it take you to install? And was it easy for the most part? Doesn't look to hard, only thing that might be confusing is installing the piggy back to the ecu.

Very awesome man. Plan on getting some dyno numbers or taking it to the track?

Now that I got see all the parts laid out, and then installed, it doesn't seem as hard/complicated as I thought it was to install yourself.

Anyways, congrats, and keep us updated.

Thanks everybody for the kind comments.

The kit was VERY easy to instal and could be completed in a weekend. The hardest thing to do is taking off the front nose piece. The instruction manual that RRM provides is very detailed with pictures. Everything bolted up perfect with no modifications needed.

No dyno numbers yet. I am working on some videos. I have some but finding it hard to have them converted from .mov files. I'll work on that.

The car totally feels like a new/different car. I mean there is no comparison. I smoked a Lexus IS300 the other day from a 20 mph roll.

It makes you realize how slow lancers are now that you are boosting
I'm never buying a NA car again!

What size turbo is that and how much boost?

It really does. I'll never go back NA.

The turbo is a stock Mitsu turbo. I am new at this so forgive me if I am wrong. But I think is a 14 or 16G???? Not sure but it is at 6-7 psi and putting out about 50% over my stock hp. I dynoed at 138 prior to the dyno. So I should be in the 205 - 210 range of hp to the wheels.
