Boosting questions.

So i own a 2003 Lancer ES Auto...and i want to put together a budget turbo kit. I will have someone put this in because i am a noob..and i have been reading up on this stuff but i still have a few questions.

Here is what i have in mind so far.

Ebay kit...i know cheap.

Will either of these manifolds work?

Speed Corps

Im also going to need new spark plugs and wire, and a new fuel pump correct?

What else will i need?

I already have someone to put it in for me.

I don't know anything about the ebay kit, other than it's an ebay kit. Good luck if you go that route. You can't compare turbo kits to our manifold option. We are not selling a kit, we just made the manifold to give you Lancer guys the option to piece together your own kit for cheap. And by cheap, I mean 2 grand or less. It takes a little more knowledge and research to piece together a decent turbo kit. We will have a write up on it very soon.

That ebay turbo is t3 footprint and will not fit any of the manifolds you are looking at.
for that price you can pick up a used 16g from an evo and have left over for a used evo intercooler.

you can do a used cheap kit off of all evo parts for under 2k easy. only problems are the accessories like a wideband, injectors, and a good manifold.

i think the speedcorp manifold as of right now is a good choice for a budget build. you can build off it nicely, dont have to re drill it or anything, and you can always upgrade later.

Custom build you kit with evo parts and the speedcorps mani. I don't have the speedcorps manifold yet but my entire build came to less that $1000

Awesome thats what i think i am going to do.

So i need...

1. Walbro 255 fuel pump
2. Fuel Pressure Regulator
3. 16g evo turbo
4. Speed corps manifold
5. 4 NGK turbo spark plugs and the ignition wires
6. Mishimoto intercooler
7. BOV
8. Wastegate
9. Automatic transmission cooler
10. universal intercooler piping?
11. Boost guage
12. A/F guage
13. oil feed line kit
14. downpipe

Will this 16g work with the speed corps manifold?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TD05H...Q5fAccessories

I thought a wastegate and a bov did the same thing? like it said i am a noob at this.

wastegate reroutes exhaust gases so that you only boost a certain psi. BOV releases excess pressurized air from the intake system once you let off the gas. Oh the evo piping fits perfectly btw...

No, this turbo will not work. It is for a DSM. Faces the wrong direction. You need to do some research and learn all this stuff. It will make your project so much easier if you understand what each component is and what it does.

you don't need ignition wires.
you dont need a/f gauge. ( only wideband if you are tuning and for now you should just not go into that)
use stock injectors, vortech fmu, and 255 fuel pump.Thats all you will need. ( when you want to tune your car you can upgrade injectors and get the wideband and all that stuff and take it to a shop.)
I think using stock evo intercooler and piping is much easier and less expensive.
buy the speedcorps manifold and get a used evo turbo from the evo forsale section here and you are on your way to boosting.

Would the stock evo ic piping fit with the Speed Corps manifold and the smaller Mishimoto ic they sell (When I eventually boost I want to retain my crash bar)?

EDIT: Auto tranny too

Do you have to do any cutting to accomidate the Evo VIII intercooler? Do you really have to cut the crash bar if so then i want to just buy the evo IC piping and the small mishimoto intercooler.
