Ebay jdm rear

hey guys...i know there are a few posts already about the ebay jdm rear bumpers...but from the ones i've seen this one just seems legit...i just wanna get your opinions on this one. Does it seem legit in enough to purchase? the only thing that throws me off is the fact that it says..."Excellent fitment. No modification required."....doesn't the rear crash beam need to be modified for a JDM IX REAR to fit??

take a look at it and lmk what you guys think....cause since im on a low budget...im very interested in a replica JDM IX REAR...not baller enough to buy a real jdm rear ....unless any of you know a legit seller that has JDM IX rear for cheap

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

what do you guys think?

that's fiber reinforced plastic no? pretty hard and stiff unlike urethane (stock and jdm stuff). If you hit something, it'll most likely crack.

i never believe ebay pix. bottom line, what u pay is what u get u spend less on the item, and u will end up spending more on labor for fitment, so why bother?

i mean....i know a few people that actually went and bought the ebay IX rear before...most of them were ok...just the fitment issue was a problem...material wise wasn't that big of an issue..for the most part all after market are either FRP or CF so either way when you do hit something it'll bound to crack get damaged

just looking at the pictures on the website... those bumpers at the bottom are green. Typically thats fiberglass and you want to stay FAR FAR FAR away from fiberglass on a street car... it cracks all the time.

Spend the money and get the real deal

I completely disagree with you fiberglass on street cars are fine. I have own plenty of body kits on street/show cars all fiberglass. Now if you have a crappy paint job then yes paint will flake discolor etc. I have a fiberglass kit on my evo and z since december of last year both perfect. Now if you hit things or rather bump thing you can get spidercracks etc but again thats all on the user get a quality paint job that is baked and drive like a sane person and it kit will hold up just fine

btw knowning all that i still would never buy a replica jdm rear period to much is involved with getting that rear to fit and once you modify the retainer clip its done so you want perfect fitment the first time around

thats the whole point fitment if you spend 425 and then have to spend another 400 to paint it cause its rough and then another 200 or so to reenforce it so you can make it fit aka drilling holes creates spidercracks if not done properly and there is like 18 or so you need to create. DO NOT FORGET you have to space them according to the underside of the rear quarter panel good luck lineing up all those holes. Now i did not use that many of the holes to mount it but you need several to make sure retainer clip stays not to mention you will have to buy the riviets screws etc. with the OEM it all come with it suited and booted

I purchase one jdm rear bumper replica before they fit great. If you still need it I can find you one too.
