Please Help!!! Electrical issue?
Hello,
I just got back from Afghanistan and my evo was in storage for 5 months Well i took it out of storage and drove it and no problems well the following night I was driving and I had noticed that my right taillight was out along with my Front parking lights and my Dome light not the one by the sun glass holder but the other one.I noticed that my fuse #20 which is the right taillight located in the engine compartment was out so i replaced it and it kept popping repeatedly, I also replaced both of my bulbs of my taillights. Im so lost and confused on what this issue can be. I have tried searching on the forum but no luck with this particular problem and The dealership cant see me till Monday can anyone help me
Thanks
Paul

Sounds like you have a short in there somewhere. If you are continuosly blowing fuses you should trace the wires back to the tail lights from the fuse box. It is very possible that in it's time in storage, a mouse or rat decided to eat its way through one of your wires shielding and it is now shorting against something else. Not a big problem, but it can be a pain in the butt to track it down. Have fun.

Or before you start tracing and looking for the short, run new wires on the outside just to see if that solves the problem. If not, your problem is not in the wiring. It could be a relay with corrosion from sitting in storage.

Well I tested the taillight by connecting it to the left side and it worked, so It must be something in that right wiring harness, I think im gonna take it to a shop today and maybe they can fix it....

you should search for people that had corrosion problems on the harness connector near the firewall. I bet that is your problem......it seams all to common
