Check your rear or front light while the blinker is on. One of them is burnt out. Ususally when the blinker starts to blink fast one of the bulbs is burnt out.

+1 a real fast blinker usually means 1 of the bulbs is burnt out

Do what he said^^^(For example if you front left turn signal bulb is not working then the rear left signal light will blink fast) check for a bad connection that can also be the problem

it works on voltage the difference is what makes it blink fast you need to put a resistor in to stop that

Some bulbs have 2 seperate filaments depending on the type of blinker and some have one make sure you didnt put a 2 filament bulb where a 1 filament bulb is supposed to be or vice versa

yup. most definitely the case. bulbs serve as resistors and with one blown out will yield a blinking light that looks like its on speed. good luck

You should not need a resistor at all.
Check your bulb part numbers.
