I can pay cash for this car now, but there is a really good deal on an 08, new gsr with nav ($29465), but I'm currently deployed till Dec 09, should I wait since it'll just sit in their showroom for 6 months? An '10 Is 2 years newer and the money i save until then could make interest enough to cover the tax :/

It really depends on what you want bro. If its in the color you want, the differences between the 2010 and the 2008 arent that big. If it isnt the color you 'want', id say its up to you, but if it was me i would wait it out till the 2010's are released and pick your color. Remember, your going to be driving and looking at it every day, its going to suck if one day if your driving down the road and see (insert your favorite color here) and say 'damn i should waited!'.
