Greddy Profec Spec B II too bright

I have the black version of this boost controller and I have been extremly happy with how accurate it is. The boost display appears much more accurate than either my stock boost gauge (2006 MR) or my autometer gauge. I really enjoy being able to adjust my boost 'on the fly'.

I would like to reduce the brightness of the display though, the blue background is very bright and lights up my interior at night. I have altered all my other interior lights to be all red, so this really stands out. Is it easy to open up and modify? It would even be better if it was the red (alert) color all the time and changed to blue when I overboost - it would be a closer fit for the rest of the gauges. Has anyone opened one of these up?

btw - I'm not impressed that Greddy doesn't have an email address for questions like this on their web site.
