Profec B Spec II issues

All,

Installed a Profec B Spec II in my car on the weekend.

Only the dyno, it held 1.4 bar fine... not the smoothest of lines but good enough.

However, on the way home it's been stuffing up. No matter what settings I put in (boost, gain etc), it seems to change it's mind about what it wants to do. Either:

- sometimes hit's full boost
- sometimes hit's half boost and slowly get to full boost
- most of the time only ones gate pressure (0.7bar)

I have no idea what's wrong. I've tried setting it to run 1 bar all the time and that seems to work more often but generally it fails... 1.2 bar worked for ages but now won't. It's really weird,

Does anyone have an idea?

I don't think it's the car as it wasn't fine before. It might be the new solenoid as that explains sometimes working and othertimes not. Doesn't appear to be the settings.

Issue resolved

For future reference, always inspected the solenoid when installing.

Obviously, it has three holes... two are used and one is left open.

When my solenoid was made, they are painted. Turns out they somehow had a bit of overspray of paint left on this hole, which half covered it up.

Damn its good running 1.5 bar
