You take a blue emanage and modify it internally (no parts needed) to function like the gold. Fairly simple if you are mechanically/electrically inclined. It took me about 15 minutes to do. I'm now logging a/f and boost, along with everything else.

Is the gold out yet? I'd rather just buy one.

I don't think the gold was ever sold here. I have some links to the conversion, but they're at home. I'll try to post them later. If you google it you'll get a few hits though. It's a very simple process; solder in 1 jumper and bridge two sets of pins together off of the main chip. Not for the faint of heart though, it would be quite easy to smoke that chip with excessive heat.

Drives: 98 hyundai accent gsi now turbo

Hey guys, I have the file on my harddrive in pdf format on how to convert the unit (with pictures). I am not sure where I can host the file, if you want contact me on aim (boss1112) and i will send it to you. Perhaps someone can host it for everyone. It seems alot of people have done this with great success. It is still the blue unit so it does lack a few connections but all in all with the gold software you get many more options....

Emanage Blue to Gold How To

Supposedly, the steps outlined in the attached PDF convert a Blue to a Gold.

I haven't done it, and the linked PDF isn't my creation. Proceed at your own risk.

So, do you attach the wideband & boost line to the emange or does it read it from the computer?

Drives: a heep of trouble into an island of nothing...

If my memory serves me correct, you use the aux input to read the O2 sensor. I know the actual connection just reads 0-5v which is good for the MAP sensor, but I am not to sure how it will work on a wideband o2 sensor (not sure if it gives output between 0-5v also...) What I do know is that the LM-1 has an output that can be used on anything that can read voltages 0-5.

There has to definately be some type of data manipulation in which you would have to convert the voltages to actualy AFR which shouldn't be hard. Maybe some of the programming could be hacked to do this but Im not hacker!
