Evo 9, AEM ecu vs stock ecu + gm 3" MAF
What are the true benefits to upgrading to a aem standalone?
Will running the aem standalone without the MAF sensor improve drivability?
Im looking to help improve my drivability currently. Would a AEM standalone correct this issue and offer more power?
Current setup:
evo9
gt3076r
stock ecu (tuned with ecuflash)
MAF translator
GM 3" MAF

from what i hear all you need is a good tune... It's pointless to get a different ecu unless you are running some serious hp.... Stay with your stocker

So is it safe to say that if your wanting more then 800whp or are building a race car then AEM is the way to go.
If your building a fast streetable(9-10 sec) then stock ecu is the way to go.
??????????????
