can stock ecu be lock by tuner

hey everyone

i have a evo 9 mr that was purchase with mods and tuned. planning on going back to stock turbo soon. i'll definetly need another tune. just wondering if i can take it to any tunner or has to be the same tuner? previous owner said it was tuned by turbotrix i think?

yes it can be locked.

You can get the ecu unlocker program of active matrix, it it is locked.

i just don't wanna go to a shop and found out he can't tune my car

A good tuner should already have a copy of the ECU Unlocker program, but if you want to make sure, just download it yourself:

Note: you'll have to register yourself on the site before it will let you download the program, but it's quick, easy, and free to do so.
