Ignition coil

I have a 05 Evo MR. I have a bad coil and i was wondering if i could just replace one or should i replace both. Im a little tight on money right now due to baby on the way. The car just needs to be running right. Its a daily driver. Mostly used by my wife. I looked at the coils that are in it and the only thing that i could find on the coil name wise was Diamond. This car is supposed to have a plasma ignition... I dont know too much about these cars. What exactly do i need to check to find out what i have and what i need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've pin pointed your mis fire to a specific coil then yes replacing one would do the trick. I know coils are rather expensive even used on this forum.

What would be an "ideal" coil to go with. I dont want one to be producing more spark than the other.
