Question Tactrix Cable missing mitsubishi plug - Can I tune or log?

A friend of mine has an sti and i was going to have him help me datalog and retune. Apparantly, he says the mitsubishi plug fell off (lost!? i guess.)

I have never used a tactrix cable before. so is that missing pice necessary? He says that one part plugs into the obd2 port on his sti and there are 1 or more additional plugs that plug into other ports.

So with this so called missing misu plug, am i out of luck?? Can this part be purchased alone?

Thanks!

You can log, but not reflash your car's ROM (needed for tuning), without the missing flash connector.

If it's the Open Port 2.0, the reflash connector can be bought separately (http://www.tactrix.com/product_info....products_id=48). If it's the old 1.3 style, the reflash connector is actually part of the cable.
