Drives: Evo VIII

Need help with turbo controller

I just bought an evo VIII a few weeks back and it had the GREDDY boost controller already connected. I need to know what a good psi to set the low boost at???? Also what is the gain percent mean ,and what percent its supposed to be at on low and high. I have the high boost set at 19 psi's.

With basic bolt on's and 91 octane gas, 20-21 psi "should be" OK. You will not know for sure until you log it. Set that to your high. Set the low to about 16 psi and you can save some gas. Gain is how fast you want the turbo to spool. Do you want it to kick in fast and snap your neck back? Turn up the gain. Do you want to pull like a freight train? Turn the gain down. You just have to play with the gain and get it to what you like.
